ABOUT YELLOW BELT :

  • The Six Sigma Yellow Belt is a support role on a Six Sigma project. They work with Green Belts during the Define, Measure, and Analyze stage of the DMAIC process to assess business processes. Yellow Belts are considered subject matter experts in their particular field, so Green Belts rely on them for their extensive knowledge of current-state processes.
  • Today we’re launching a new series of articles called “Why You Should”. This series is designed to give you a better understanding of why you should get a specific certification and how it can benefit you.
  • We’re starting the series with discussing why you should get your Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification. One of the nice things about Six Sigma belt levels is that you don’t typically need to progress through each belt. You can start at any belt level that best fits your goals or job role.
  • This does lead to confusion sometimes, as many people will simply decide to skip directly to the Black Belt and just get certified at the highest level. EXAMINATION AND CERTIFICATION :

Candidates are required to pass a Multiple-Choice Question (MCQ)-based online examination measuring the comprehension of LMTC Certified Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Body of Knowledge. The duration of the examination is 60 minutes, with 40 MCQs, offered in English.

All candidates scoring 60% or above are awarded with LMTC Certified Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certificate.

In this section, you will learn about the background and basics about Lean Six Sigma
In Define phase, you need to answer the question – what is the problem exactly? To answer this question, you will learn about how to create a Project Charter, how to create a SIPOC, and how to generate CTQ through real case group exercises.
In Measure phase, you need to answer the question – how big is the problem currently? To answer this question, you will learn about output measurable identification, Operational Definition, Measurement System Analysis, Basic Statistics, Process Capability, Performance Visualization through real case group exercises.
In Analyze phase, you need to answer the question – what are the root causes of the problem? To answer this question, you will learn about the roadmap of root cause verification, how to identify potential causes with Cause-effect Diagram (Fishbone) and “5 why” and process analysis tools such as Spaghetti Diagram and Swim-lane Diagram through real case group exercises.
In Improve phase, you need to answer the question – what are the best solutions of the problem? To answer this question, you will learn about how to generate potential solutions with standard Lean tools and multiple Brainstorming tools, how to select solutions and how to implement solutions through real case group exercises.
In Control phase, you need to answer the question – how to keep the improvement sustainable? To answer this question, you will learn about Documentation, Control Charts and Reaction Plan.
